#13 Do Shelties like to walk?
The Kennel Club describes the Shetland Sheepdog as “virtually tireless.” They always like to be on the go and are very active requiring up to 1 hour of exercise a day, but will never say no to more.
#14 How often should you walk a Sheltie?
The length of the daily walk should ideally be 30 minutes or longer, up to an hour. This can be just once a day, or two walks a day would be better if your schedule allows it. Dogs also like routine, so try to schedule the walk for around the same time each day.
#15 Do Shelties need a bath?
Since Shelties are really good at washing up and grooming themselves, you do not need to give them a bath as much as other dogs. Scheduling a bath when the dog gets smelly, or once every one to two months will be enough to keep your Sheltie happy and healthy.
