#4 In 1876, the dogs withstood an experiment by Lloyd Price, earning the title of the best sheepdog in the region and outside of England. During the experiment, the dogs maintained control over a hundred sheep without receiving any cues from humans other than whistle sounds and hand gestures.

#5 In 1881, the first standard of the breed appeared. In 1915 – official registration. 1955 – recognized by the American Kennel Club. In 1987 – by the International Kennel Club.

#6 Today, the Border Collie is one of the best herding breeds in the world. In addition to working lines, there are also show and sport lines. Within the framework of specialization, animals differ in anatomy and character. Show dogs are more reserved and graceful. Sports dogs are more agile and hardy.
