#4 The size of the English bull is not so large.
He reaches 61 centimeters at the withers and weighs up to 36 kg. Females are slightly smaller. There is no limit on weight and size, it is important that the animal gives the impression of the maximum weight for its height.
Head is long, strong, egg-shaped, without hollows and depressions, with downwardly sloping muzzle, but without coarse features. The upper part of the head is almost flat. The profile of the head is very flat, in the form of a smooth arc from the crown to the nose. The back of the nose is wide and arched. The nasal lobe is pronounced, dark in color (shade depends on coloration). Lips, tight to the jaw. The color of the lips match the coloration. The jaw is very strong, the number of teeth is standard. The teeth are large, white, with pronounced canines. The upper incisors are in close contact with the lower incisors. Bite scissor-like (pincer-like bite is also allowed).
The eyes of bull terriers are triangular, narrow, obliquely and deeply set. The color of the eyes is brown or dark brown to black (the darker the iris, the better).
The ears are small and thin, triangular in shape, set close together, standing upright.
The neck is very strong, distinctly muscular, rather long and slightly curved. The presence of hanging is excluded. The scruff is pronounced. It is very important not to let the neck be too short, as it makes the dog more clumsy and awkward, depriving it of advantages in a fight.
The body is square "bodybuilder" type, strong and muscular, with thorough bones and powerful broad chest. The back is strong, short, moderately wide. The line of a back is sloping to a croup. The croup is firm, not wide, sloping.
The tail is low, short and thick at the base, tapering to the tip.
The limbs are straight, very strong, with thick bone and excellent musculature. The paws are round and compact, with well-pressed toes.
The wool is very short, smooth, tightly fitting all the body of the dog, without hangs and folds.
Color. The classic is pure white. In white dogs some pigmentation on the head and small spots of other colors are allowed. With colored dogs, the color of the basic color should prevail. Red, tiger, black-tiger, tricolor and deer colors are allowed, but coffee and blue colors are undesirable.
