Leftover food in parks and green spaces is often pet food and, of course, can cause diarrhea. A simple home remedy can help.
As long as there are barbecues outside and the weather invites you to linger outside in the last few days, food leftovers are often left lying around – creating ideal conditions for bacteria and other germs. If the dog or cat eats the spoiled leftovers, it often results in diarrhea. An old home remedy with carrots may help.
“Frosty Carrot Soup” is easy to prepare and helps the damaged intestines to heal faster. Many dog owners are convinced of this.
The drug was developed by pediatrician Ernst Moreau in the early 20th century when he was looking for a cure for diarrhea in children. Carrots take a long time to cook, resulting in the formation of sugar molecules, the so-called oligosaccharides, which attach to the intestinal wall. Bacteria or parasites, such as lamblia, cannot dock and are instead cleared out of the body again.
Morosche Carrot Soup Recipe
- Peel 500 g of carrots and cook in 1 liter of water for at least 1.5 hours.
- Drain vegetables and draw water.
- Chop carrots in the puree.
- Gradually add 1 teaspoon of salt and collected carrot water until creamy.
To prepare it, peel and chop 500 grams of carrots and boil them in one liter of water for at least 90 minutes – only then do the components that bind bacteria develop. Then strain and rub the puree carrots. The pulp is filled with water so that the total volume is again one liter. The product is ready.
For proper use, the soup should be offered to a sick four-legged friend several times a day. In most cases, the animal recovers quickly. If not, go to the vet!
