Chihuahua or Pomeranian?

The Pomeranian is actually a Pomeranian but is referred to as a Pomeranian or Pom in English-speaking countries. Activity and food requirements as well as city suitability and maintenance requirements are not dissimilar to the Chihuahua. Both breeds are considered very people-related.

Just like the Chihuahua, the Pom is prone to megalomania and overestimates itself. Both breeds do well with much larger dogs and have a lot of confidence. The Spitz is very attentive and likes to bark at visitors. Like the Chihuahua, Pomeranians are also very fond of barking.

A Pomeranian is 18-22 cm tall and weighs around 3 kg.

Please do not decide based on appearance alone, but familiarize yourself with the requirements, special features, and character of the respective breed. Are there any special problems (sensitive stomach, hunting instinct, behavior) or diseases within the breed? Which breed suits you and your lifestyle better?
