Borders are active dogs that love and need regular exercise in fairly large amounts. As terriers, they are also active and noisy when someone comes to the door and should be the first to greet visitors. Cross-border greetings are quite abundant.
The Border Terrier will suit the active owner who loves a “big dog in a small body” terrier but prefers a softer, less cocky, and more social version.
