#10 In 1908, breeder James Loggy founded the first breed fan club, headquartered in Lerwick (capital of the Shetland Islands).

#11 James Loggy has attempted to standardize the appearance of animals. According to Loggy’s idea, the breed was supposed to be called “Shetland Collie”, which caused discontent on the part of breeders of real Scottish Collie.

#12 To avoid controversy and misunderstanding, the dogs were eventually renamed Shetland Sheepdogs.
