12 Interesting Things About Poodles You Didn't Know

#4 Check your poodle’s ears weekly for dirt, redness, and foul odor, which can be signs of infection, then gently wipe them weekly with a damp cotton ball.

The cotton ball should be moistened with PH-neutral ear cleaner. This way you avoid problems early on.

#5 Breeds with drooping ears are prone to infection because the ear canal is always dark and damp.

Also, hair grows in the poodle's ear canal. Sometimes that hair needs to be plucked. Ask your groomer or vet if this is necessary for your dog.

#6 Brush your poodle’s teeth at least two or three times a week to remove tartar and bacteria.

Daily brushing is even better if you want to avoid gingivitis and bad breath.
