Yeti: What You Should Know

The Yeti is an imaginary creature or mythical creature. Some claim it is an animal. It is said to live in the Himalayas, the highest mountain in the world. The expression “terrible snowman” comes from a British magazine from 1921. “Yeti” comes from the Tibetan and means something like “rock bear”. Tibet is a large area in China.

Reports about the Yeti come mainly from Tibet. Some people claim to have seen him there. According to him, he walks on two legs and is hairy like a monkey. Books have now been written and feature films made that feature yeti.

Most scientists don’t believe in the Yeti. At least he shouldn’t be a monkey. At most, it could be that it is a species of large bear that has not yet been discovered.
