#4 In 1551, the famous naturalist and naturalist Konrad von Gesner (1516-1565), in one of his books from the Animal Stories series, describes the Corso dog as follows: “Strong and powerful enough to fight a wild boar and manage herds of oxen.

#5 In 1556, Tito Giovanni Scandiano, in his Poem of the Hunt, describes how the Cane Corso pounces on its prey in a powerful dash. The dash is needed to “attack, bite and hold wild boars, bears and wolves.”

#6 Plunging into the past for more than a thousand years, we find the image of the Cane Corso on numerous mosaics from the Roman Empire period in scenes of wild boar hunting.
