The amount of bleeding varies from female dogs to female dogs, as does the length of the period. However, all-female Chihuahuas bleed during pre-oestrus. This is very broad with 3-17 days.
If the bleeding slowly becomes watery, this marks the transition to the mating season and the female Chihuahua is ready to mate.
