How do I train my Chihuahua puppy properly?
As soon as the Chihuahua puppy moves in with you, you should start training it. So think about in advance what you want to allow the dog-child and what not. Stick to these rules. Just because the Chihuahua is so cute, you shouldn’t put up with him biting your toes, yapping, or breaking things. You can always grant him additional privileges later. This is much easier than trying to withdraw the rights you have gained as an adult dog.
Be patient but consistent

Please don’t believe the fairy tale that a small dog doesn’t need a dog school. It is very valuable for you and your four-legged friend alike. You will learn to convey commands correctly, improve communication between you and the dog, and mistakes in training will be avoided right from the start.
The Chihuahua, on the other hand, learns to trust you and to take care of you. On top of that, it is good for his socialization if he has contact with other puppies of the same age. Find a dog school whose training methods you feel comfortable with. Maybe there is one that offers puppy courses, especially for small dogs.
Please only use positive reinforcement. So with praise, treats, toys and attention. Beatings, punishments, and constant scolding are absolutely out of place.
