The first description of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed dates back to the 13th century. The world learned about these funny dogs from the songs of Austrian and German poets-musicians who sing of love and are called minnesingers (from the word “minnesang” – “love song”). It is believed that these crumbs were brought to Britain by the Celts around the 9th century. Dogs quickly became the favorites of high society ladies and residents of palaces.
