- Discuss travel plans with the veterinarian and obtain any necessary medication
- Tick prophylaxis/heartworm prophylaxis
- Obtain border papers (if necessary)
- Have an animal approved in the holiday home, campsite, etc
- Plan animal-friendly stages, possibly provide overnight stays
- Buy travel accessories, food, bedding
- Appraise animal pension (if the animal stays at home)
- Find and invite sitters and educate them about everything (if the pet stays at home)
In The Luggage:
- Vaccination card/border papers (if necessary)
