Here are a few tips on what not to forget when you travel with your velvet paw.

Prior To Travel:
- Discuss travel plans with the veterinarian and obtain any necessary medication
- Tick prophylaxis/heartworm prophylaxis
- Obtain border papers (if necessary)
- Have an animal approved in the holiday home, campsite, etc
- Plan animal-friendly stages, possibly provide overnight stays
- Buy travel accessories, food, bedding
- Appraise animal pension (if the animal stays at home)
- Find and invite sitters and educate them about everything (if the pet stays at home)
In The Luggage:
- Vaccination card/border papers (if necessary)
- Insurance number/address of liability

- Address sign (possibly also with holiday address and with the respective travel period)
- Fresh drinking water in the bottle and water bowl
- plastic bag and shovel

- Motion sickness medication/sedatives (if necessary)

- Anti-diarrheal medication (e.g. charcoal tablets)

- Eye wipes for cleaning the eyes
- flea and tick repellent
- gauze, dressing material
