Chocolate
Most people know that dogs and cats are not allowed to eat chocolate. Even as children we learn not to share the sweet bars with the cute four-legged friends.
Chocolate contains theobromine, a substance that is toxic to dogs. The darker the chocolate, the more of it contains.
Symptoms of poisoning are tachycardia, breathing problems, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Onions
Both red and brown onions contain sulfur compounds that destroy dogs’ red blood cells. It doesn’t matter whether the onions have already been cooked or dried.
So before giving the dog leftovers, you should think carefully about the ingredients!
Such poisoning can be detected by blood in the dog’s urine.
Grapes
Many dog breeds and dogs that are genetically predisposed cannot tolerate the oxalic acid found in grapes.

If the dog seems restless and hyper, has a racing heart, or is vomiting, it may have poisoned itself with caffeine.
Bacon and chicken skin
If dogs often eat very greasy food such as bacon or poultry skin, this can lead to a metabolic disease in the long term.
Both the kidney and the pancreas of the dog can be damaged in the long term.
Signs of a metabolic disease are common digestive problems.
Avocado
Avocado is a superfood for humans, but potentially deadly for dogs.
Not only can the large pit lead to choking if swallowed, but the substance persin, which is contained in both the pit and the pulp, can have serious consequences.
Symptoms of avocado poisoning include tachycardia, shortness of breath and a bloated stomach.
Stone fruit
As with the avocado, stone fruit has a large pit that dogs can choke on. However, this core also has sharp edges that can injure the dog’s esophagus and mucous membranes.

Milk
