Male Chihuahua or Female Chihuahua?

There is hardly any size difference worth mentioning between a male Chihuahua and a female. The look is also the same and there are numerous color combinations.

When choosing the right Chihuahua, you shouldn’t decide based on gender, but pay attention to the puppy’s good upbringing. The breeder will provide many different experiences for the puppy. At best, these were all neutral or even positive. Because in the first 16 weeks of life, puppies learn very quickly and sustainably. Everything that your Chihuahua has experienced before the handover will have a lasting effect on him and influence his character.

Upbringing also plays a big role in character development. Your Chihuahua can only be as well raised as you let it be. A visit to the dog school is therefore always recommended for beginners. When training, it makes no difference at all whether a male or a female should learn the commands.

Choose the puppy according to the character and personal taste (longhair/shorthair, color). Ask the breeder about previous experiences with the Chihuahua and pay attention to a healthy and serious breed.

The only really serious difference between Male Chihuahuas and females is the heat.
