The Bolognese – also known as the Bichon Bolognais – is closely related to the Havanese, the Maltese, and the Bichon Frisé. They all belong to the Bichons, which means something like “lap dog” (French “bichonner” means “pamper”).
And that’s how it is with the Bolognese, he takes everyone’s heart by storm with his tousled fur and the lovable, sometimes cheeky character. You just have to like him!
