The Border Collie is bred in several different lines. The main ones are show and work lines. Show lines are bred for display and appearance while working lines are bred to work with sheep. Somewhere in the middle of these lines is what might be termed the “sports lines.” These are dogs that are bred for dog sports. These can be a mix of show and work lines.
