It’s almost surprising that the Samoyed, like a really beautiful dog with a wonderful character, doesn’t have a much larger fan base. However, among the recognized sled dog breeds, the husky has by far outstripped it. Perhaps the Samoyed is too similar to the staid German Großspitz, and is this too boring for the zeitgeist?
