Although the Bull Terrier was banned as a fighting dog in England as early as 1935 and has not been in the “pits” since then, i.e. the fighting dog arenas, it still struggles with its image as vicious and aggressive. The tabloids outdo each other with information about the bite force, which can allegedly reach up to several tons, which is complete nonsense. The import is thus complete and breeding is prohibited in most federal states.
