As humans, we can only partially understand what is going on in our cats. Therefore, it is not easy to explain how you and your pet find each other. Maybe it’s a bit like the love between people – if it fits, then it fits.
Cat Choices: Is It Destiny?
If there is a spark between cat and human, at first sight, it is a wonderful feeling. Sometimes it happens that people go to the animal shelter and first choose a completely different fur nose. But then another kitty meows heartrendingly after you happily runs up to you, or gives you an irresistible look – and that’s it for you.
This can also happen to you with a breeder, with private individuals, or with a cat from a farm. It may also be a stray who chooses you for his new home.
Cat Loves People: Question of Personality?
However, it’s also possible that a velvet paw has a particularly trusting, friendly feline personality and you just happen to be in the right place at the right time to adopt the human-centric creature. Give yourself plenty of time before purchasing a kitty so that the shy, reserved fur noses also have a chance. Especially in animal shelters, there are many cats who have already been through a lot in life and therefore need a little longer to gain trust.
Overall, however, you should rely on your gut feeling when making your selection. If you feel like you and your cat have found each other, then you should follow your heart and give the little purr a loving home.
