Introduction: The Struggle with Dog Hair on Upholstery
As dog owners, we love our furry friends, but we don’t love the hair they leave all over our furniture. Dog hair can be particularly stubborn to remove from upholstery, and it can quickly build up, making our homes look messy and unclean. However, with a few simple methods, it’s possible to remove dog hair from upholstery and keep your furniture looking its best.
Step 1: Vacuuming for Surface Hair Removal
The first step in removing dog hair from upholstery is to vacuum the surface. Use the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner to remove as much hair as possible. Start from the top of the furniture and work your way down, using long, sweeping motions. Be sure to get into all the crevices and corners, as hair can easily accumulate in these areas. Repeat the process several times until you’ve removed as much hair as possible.
Step 2: Lint Rollers and Tape for Deeper Cleaning
For deeper cleaning, use a lint roller or tape to pick up any remaining hair. Simply run the lint roller over the upholstery, or wrap a piece of tape around your hand with the sticky side facing out and press it onto the upholstery. This will pick up any hair that was missed by the vacuum. You can also use a damp cloth to wipe down the upholstery, as this can help to pick up any remaining hair.
