Basically, you need the same basic equipment for a Chihuahua as for any other dog. Just often a bit smaller, but usually cheaper.
- Water and drinking bowls;
- Leash/towline;
- Harness (to be preferred) / collar (more for decoration);
- Sleeping place (cave, bed, basket, pillow, etc.);
- Poop bag;
- Small snacks for on the go against hypoglycemia;
- Grooming utensils (brushes, combs, flea combs, nail clippers, toothbrushes, etc.);
- Toy;
- Food and treats or chews;
- Possibly a coat or sweater for wet and cold days;
- Dog tax;
- Liability insurance;
- Possibly health or surgical insurance;
- First aid kit;
- Breed book and educational guide for you.
