The name of a dog is perhaps a bit more important, after all, it is also used outside on the street, in the field, or in the forest.
The name for the dog should not only sound nice, but it should also be “catchy” so that it can be used well in training. Many dog owners think long and hard about what the Wautzi should be called. And just as many end up with the same names.
At least that is what the animal welfare organization Tasso e. V. fixed. Every year she collects all the names of the bitches and dogs that are registered there. And there are always old acquaintances there.

Luna, for example, has been at the top of the list of names for females for years. Throughout that time, this name was, is, and always will be the most popular for female tail wags.
Nothing has changed in places two to four compared to last year: Nala, Bella, and Emma are cavorting here. However, there is a brand new name in the list of the top 10 in fifth place: Frieda has secured a very good position there from the start.
The well-known names Maja, Lilly/Lilly, and Amy are in sixth to eighth place. Like last year, Lotte and Kira make it into the top 10 again. After many years, Lucy is no longer there.

Lucky has tumbled out of the leaderboard for the first time in many years. He makes way for Max, who has returned to the top ten dog names for 2020 after a year off.
