Cat lovers know that every cat is special. The personal value of a cat you have grown fond of cannot be measured in money. The Balinese is a Siamese cat with a long coat. The breed, which originated in the USA, has also been recognized in Europe since 1984. Balinese are very active and like to move. They are considered to be particularly talkative and form a close bond with their humans.
With other cat breeds, too, the price for a young animal is often up to 1,000 euros. Depending on the pedigree and lineage of the parent cats, breeders of British Shorthair, Maine Coon, or Birman cats also charge an amount in this price range.
4th Place: Sphynx Cat
Price: up to 1,500 euros
The Sphynx breed originated in Canada. In 1966 a tomcat, hairless due to mutation, was born in the litter of a domestic cat. Cat breeders were immediately interested. In 1971, this new breed was recognized by the CFA. In Germany, the hairless Sphynx is considered torture breeding!
3rd Place: Peterbald
Price: up to 2,500 euros
The Peterbald has been bred mainly in Russia since 1994. She was created by crossing Sphynx with Oriental Shorthair. The Peterbald comes in different coat varieties from hairless to shorthair. Hairlessness is a tormented breeding trait, so the Peterbald may not be bred in Germany.

Price: up to 5,000 euros
The Bengal cat is descended from real wild cats and still has its instincts in its genes today. The spirited and active cat loves its freedom and has a very high urge to move. On the other hand, she can also be clingy.

Price: up to 15,000 euros
The Savannah is considered the most expensive recognized cat breed in the world. She was created by mating a serval with a domestic cat. Since the Savannah carries a large proportion of wild animals, the breed of a domestic cat is quite controversial.
