Ragdoll Cats & Their Nature

The beautiful Ragdoll cats look a bit like cuddly toys and their nature makes them something very special: the loving giants are among the most gentle and good-natured cat breeds of all.

Ragdoll cats usually fit wonderfully into loving families who are looking for a great, balanced and quiet indoor cat. With good treatment and species-appropriate housing, harmonious and nice coexistence with her is almost certain.

Ragdoll Cats: Gentleness on Four Paws

Not only do Ragdolls have friendly dispositions, but they are also very affectionate and have been known to follow their loved ones wherever they go. One reason for this is that they are very attached to their people, another is that they are curious and like to be in the thick of things.

In their calm way, the velvet paws are very playful – but you only see them wild as young animals. Patient and cuddly like ragdolls, they are usually also ideal children’s cats – however, the children should already be big enough not to treat them roughly and to have a sense of when it is too much for the velvet paw.

Social & Charming Nature

Ragdoll cats are sociable, cuddly, and charming. Guests are also usually completely enchanted by their lovely nature. The sociability of the popular pets also ensures that they do not like to be alone and should have an animal partner – they show their social nature, if the chemistry is right, also towards dogs, so that the combination dog-cat would also be an option. Of course, the animals should get along well and fit together well in terms of nature and temperament.

Ragdolls are moderately active, very smart, and quick learners. Many Ragdolls also enjoy learning little tricks or cat agility, so it never gets boring with them!
