Let the Dog Get Food in Different Ways

Variety pleases! Dogs are not so crunchy, but of course, you can vary how the meals are served. Let the dog work for the food and the meal will be an act. Tips come here.

Letting the dog work for the food is a really good activation. There are simple solutions right outside your door, or you can walk past the pet store and look into the range. Whatever you choose, it will probably lead to the mealtime, which for many dogs goes very fast, taking a little longer. In addition, it will be more fun and more challenging – that tail that waves when something fun is going on – it will work.

A Packed Lunch

Wrap the dinner in an old milk package (or some other carton) for example. Just pour down the dry balls, or press down the wet food and make a package of the dinner. Then it is up to the dog to first open his package before the food can be accessed. Good activation!

Activation Food Bowl

There are countless variants of so-called activation food bowls on the market today. They are intended for dogs that eat fast. Through different solutions, you get the dog to work more to get the food, and then it takes longer to get the food. In these, you can put both dry food and wet food.

Outdoor Dining

So invigorating. Just throw the dry balls (or whatever the dog’s dinner was) in the grass. Say “go ahead” and let the dog start working for his food. It is useful in many ways. A dinner that takes a few minutes to sip in a food bowl takes a lot longer as a serving of grass.

“Snorts”

The name sounds a bit funny as if it suggests the sound the dog makes when it “snorts” around with its nose to find its food. This works in much the same way as outdoor dining. You can put the balls/dog food / not wet food down on the carpet in different places, so the dog, thanks to the fantastic sense of smell, finds its way to all the food.
