WHAT IS MONSTERA DELICIOSA POISONING?

Monstera Deliciosa contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals that penetrate the tissues of cats’ mouths and cause significant pain. Because of the plant’s acrid taste, most cats will only take one bite before giving up.

What do you notice about your cat’s restlessness and whether or not it appears to be in pain? To encourage him to drink, consider offering something in the water or something attractive. This will help remove the crystals from the mouth. You can even try rinsing the mouth yourself if you like.
