In most cases, input equals output. As often as the Chihuahua is fed, as often he has a bowel movement. However, this is only a rough guideline.
How often your Chihuahua defecates depends very much on the type of feeding you choose and the quality of the food. For example, dogs can use raw food (BARF) particularly well and therefore often only excrete very small piles. It can happen that despite having two meals a day, he only has a bowel movement during one walk.
Conversely, this means that the number of feces can be increased for very inferior food with many fillers (which are excreted almost unused). For example, the Chihuahua may defecate twice during the same walk, or three or four times a day despite two feedings.
If you notice significant changes in the number, frequency, shape, color, and smell of the stool, a veterinarian should clarify this. For example, some foods like milk or butter can cause diarrhea, while eating too much bone can cause constipation. Parasites can also affect the number of piles.
