Dog is Good for the Heart

Dog owners have a lower risk of developing heart disease. That is the conclusion of Glenn N Levine, a professor at Baylor Medical College in Houston, Texas.

Professor Glenn N Levine has taken part in studies of how we humans are affected by having pets and believes that it is not about dogs being able to cure heart disease. Rather, people who have dogs live healthier lives. They go for regular walks and engage in more physical activities than those who do not have a dog. Having a dog can be associated with lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels amt lower risk of obesity. Dogs can also have a positive effect on the body’s response to stress.
