Christmas Gifts for Dogs

The Christmas season is about to start and you want to give your furry friend a little treat? Then you are exactly right with this article. We’ll show you some Christmas gift ideas that you can easily make at home and if you don’t have time for handicrafts, you can also have a look at our gift suggestions.

DIY – Dog Pillow

Your furry friend will be particularly happy about a new cuddly bed. A dog cushion allows your four-legged friend to retreat when he needs rest and relaxation. We’ll tell you how to sew your darling’s own dog cushion here.

Materials and Utensils

  • an old sweater
  • two towels
  • drying towels
  • cotton
  • Wool
  • needle and thread
  • scissors

Sewing instructions

The first step is to fold the towels to form the approximate size of the dog’s pillow. Next, the cotton wool must be placed on the towels, as this is responsible for filling the dog pillow. The layers now need to be sewn together loosely, creating an oval shape. This can finally be placed in the sweater and sewn with wool in the chest area. The neck area and the sleeves must then be filled with wool or cotton wool so that the basic structure of the dog pillow is also covered and a circular shape is created. Finally, the dog bed only has to be sewn together and you’re done! The dog bed can of course be decorated as you wish.

DIY – Dog Cookies

There’s nothing your furry friend could be happier about than homemade treats. We’ll tell you a simple and quick recipe for dog biscuits. If your four-legged friend suffers from certain allergies, you can of course change the recipe below a little.

Ingredients

  • oatmeal
  • spelt flour
  • liver sausage (125g)

Preparation

First, the oat flakes, the spelt flour and the liver sausage have to be mixed together to make a kneadable dough. Now all you have to do is roll out the dough and cut out with cookie cutters. The cookies can then be placed on the baking sheet. These must be in the oven for 60 minutes at 100°C. It is important that the cookies first have to cool down before you give your furry friend some to try.
