Are Blue Paul Terriers prone to separation anxiety?

Introduction: Blue Paul Terriers

Blue Paul Terriers, also known as Blue Polls, were once a popular breed in Scotland for their loyalty, courage, and guarding instincts. Unfortunately, they are now extinct, but their legacy lives on in modern-day breeds such as the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier. Although they are no longer bred for fighting, they are still highly valued as companion animals and are known for their affectionate and playful nature.

Understanding Separation Anxiety

Separation anxiety is a common behavioral problem in dogs that occurs when they become distressed when separated from their owner or when left alone. The severity of separation anxiety can vary from mild to severe, and it can manifest in a variety of ways, such as destructive behavior, excessive barking or whining, house soiling, and self-injury. Separation anxiety can be stressful for both the dog and the owner and can negatively impact the dog’s quality of life.
