A Chihuahua really only needs to be bathed in an emergency. Otherwise, normal mud and dirt can often be easily rinsed off with clear water. However, if a bath is unavoidable, then the Chihuahua should only be washed with a shampoo specially made for dogs. Dog skin has a different pH value than human skin, which is why baby shampoo and the like are not suitable for four-legged friends.
But which shampoo is the best for little Chihuahuas? Use a mild puppy shampoo with moisturizing properties. Please make sure that there is no mink oil in the product.
