The pug pays special attention to the chosen person in the family and accompanies him every step of the way. However, this does not prevent him from being cordial toward other family members. He does not like loneliness and lack of interest – he can show that he is not getting enough attention. Gentle and patient, he will be a great friend even for children a few years old – but they must learn to treat him properly.
Pugs never behave aggressively toward people or other animals. They are great with a large group of dogs – preferably their own breed. They are not afraid of any other four-legged people on the walk. Although this dog breed is not of the athlete type, it is also not lazy. He willingly goes out for a walk, but he cannot be forced to overexert himself. A reasonable dose of movement is very important – it helps him stay in shape and prevents obesity. Many pugs love water and are good swimmers.
