Reproduction in Smooth Collies
Smooth Collies reach sexual maturity at around six months of age, although it is recommended to wait until they are at least 18 months old before breeding them. Female Smooth Collies typically go into heat twice a year, with each cycle lasting around three weeks. During this time, they are receptive to mating and may become more vocal or restless. Male Smooth Collies can produce sperm as early as six months old, but it is best to wait until they are at least a year old before breeding them.
