Yakutian Laikas are a breed of dog that originated in the Yakutia region of Russia. They were traditionally used for hunting, herding, and guarding. Reproduction in Yakutian Laikas
Like all dogs, Yakutian Laikas reproduce sexually. They reach sexual maturity between 6 and 12 months of age. Female Laikas typically go into heat twice a year, with each cycle lasting about 21 days. During this time, they may show behavioral changes such as increased friendliness or aggression. Male Laikas become more interested in females during this time and may try to escape or become more vocal. It is important to keep female Laikas away from males during this time if you do not want them to become pregnant.
