Natural Habitat: Where do Ball Pythons Live?
Ball pythons are found in regions throughout sub-Saharan Africa, including Mali, Senegal, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They typically inhabit areas with savannas, grasslands, and forests, and can be found hiding in burrows or under vegetation. Ball pythons are primarily nocturnal and spend most of their time on the ground, although they can climb trees and other objects in their environment. They are also known to be semi-aquatic and are often found near water sources. In captivity, ball pythons require a habitat that mimics their natural environment, with appropriate hiding places, substrate, and temperature and humidity levels.
