The pug needs to comb the coat once a week, but during the shedding – at least twice a week, and possibly more often. Ears should be cleaned two to three times a week, mucus from the eyes is usually cleaned daily. You need to bathe your dog once or twice a week, if he sleeps in bed with you, then more often. The nails are trimmed three times a month.
Pugs are greedy eaters and can overeat if given the opportunity. Since they gain weight easily, they can quickly become obese if food intake is not carefully monitored.
