Fish Reproduction: An Overview

Reproduction is a fundamental biological process that ensures the continuation of the species. Fish, like other organisms, have developed various reproductive strategies to ensure the survival of their offspring. Fish reproduction can be broadly classified as either egg-laying or live-bearing. Egg-laying vs Live-bearing Fish

However, live-bearing fish have a higher survival rate for their offspring since they can provide protection and nutrients for them. Some examples of egg-laying fish include salmon, trout, and cod, while examples of live-bearing fish include guppies, mollies, and swordtails.
