Overview of Barosaurus: Anatomy and Physiology
Barosaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 152 to 145 million years ago. It is known for its long neck, which could reach up to 14 meters in length, and its relatively small head. Barosaurus was a massive animal, measuring up to 27 meters in length and weighing as much as 20 elephants. Its body was supported by four thick legs, and its tail was long and whip-like. The neck of Barosaurus was made up of 15 vertebrae, each of which was very long and thin, allowing for a great range of motion.
