Training and Husbandry of the Treeing Walker Coonhound

Hunting dogs are very obedient animals, as they have always stood by man and therefore learn quickly. They are very intelligent and can therefore be trained well.

The Treeing Walker Coonhound should not be kept in the city as the breed is somewhat unsuited for this. It is best to keep the dog in a house with a garden so that it always gets enough exercise. Nevertheless, one should never underestimate the importance of long walks and therefore still take long trips with him.

The most important thing for the correct attitude of a Treeing Walker Coonhound is that he gets enough exercise.
