When neurobiologists looked at the aging dog’s brain, it was seen that antioxidants can protect the brain and improve both learning and spatial perception in the old dog. Therefore, it may be a good idea to adjust your diet a bit. Here are tips on what you can do yourself.
First, check if the food you give your dog contains a lot of vitamin E or not. If not, you can give a supplement of a maximum of 100 IU for a small dog and 400 IU for a larger dog. For vitamin C, 50–100 mg/day applies.
Replace the feed with 10 percent vegetables or fruits. If you do not know what contains what, then go for the color – colorful vegetables/fruits usually do the best good. But make a careful transition so that the dog’s stomach does not react.
Blueberry
Carrots
Tomatoes
