Dim the lights whenever you want your pup to sleep. You can even turn on soft classical music in the background.
Beagle puppies like to have their human with them. So that your puppy can also feel your presence in its sleeping box, you should put one of the items of clothing you have worn in the sleeping box.
By the way, don't be surprised if your Beagle puppy twitches and fidgets at night even though he's asleep. Beagles apparently have adventurous dreams and move their mouths and paws. So no need to worry.
