#7 Today, the pug is back in fashion: for a few years now, the jolly lap dog has been seen more and more and is finding more and more followers.
Unfortunately, this also entails more and more torturous breeding, which, due to the exaggerated breeding of some of the Pug's characteristics, leads to the animals suffering serious health problems. One must not forget that a pug is a living being and not just a fashion accessory.
#8 Incidentally, the pug got its name from the Dutch word “mopperen”, which means something like humming and is an allusion to the loud breathing noises of the pugs.
However, this is neither cute nor harmless but indicates that your dog is not getting enough air. Be sure to speak to your veterinarian about ways to provide relief.
#9 Even if it looks so cute in the pictures, the pug is one of the most controversial dog breeds at the moment: Hardly any other breed is so popular and so controversial at the same time.
Unfortunately, while the breed's multiple health issues should be well known by now, their popularity isn't waning.
