#4 Never let water or oils get into his ears.
Brush the beagle's teeth at least two to three times a week to remove tartar and bacteria. Daily brushing is even better for preventing gum disease and bad breath.
#5 If your dog isn’t wearing down its nails naturally, consider clipping them once or twice a month.
If you hear them clicking on the ground, then the claws are too long. Dog claws have blood vessels and if you cut off too much bleeding can occur - and the next time he sees the nail clipper/clipper, your dog won't want to cooperate with you.
#6 So if you’re new to this, ask your veterinarian or groomer for tips on clipping claws.
Get your Beagle used to being brushed and examined early on, from puppyhood. Handle his paws often—dogs are sensitive about their paws—and check his mouth, too.
