#10 Akita Inu were bred for hunting, protecting and grazing herds.

#11 During its long history, this breed was used as a hunting (for a bear and a wild boar), guard, fighting breed, the Japanese peasants even used it to feed fish in the net, now it is a symbol of the wealth and well-being of aristocrats.

#12 And in 1931 the Akita Inu was declared a natural monument and today is considered a national treasure of Japan.
