#4 Is the Patterdale Terrier a family dog?
The Patterdale Terrier is an excellent family dog. He loves to play with the kids for hours, which isn't a problem given his energy level. However, it becomes a problem if his extreme urge to move cannot be met. He needs a lot of exercise. Otherwise, he can develop into a hothead who can make life difficult not only for those around him but also for himself.
#5 Can the Patterdale Terrier be kept in a (city) apartment?
The size of the Patterdale Terrier makes apartment keeping an acceptable option. However, a city apartment should be avoided. There aren't very many opportunities to give him sufficient movement there within an adequate framework. However, it is imperative that this need be met. In addition, the many charms in the city could awaken his hunting instinct.
#6 This breed of dog, Patterdale Terrier appears unknown. Why is that?
The Patterdale Terrier is still relatively unknown in Germany. Most of his breeding and appearance takes place in England and the USA. In the meantime, however, some breeders have also established themselves in Germany.
