Origin of the German Shorthaired Pointer

As the name suggests, the German Shorthaired Pointer comes from Germany. It is descended from the Old German Shorthaired Pointer, which is the result of crossing Bracco Italiano and Bloodhounds. A little later, other breeds such as the English Pointer were mixed in. He is one of three varieties of the German Hound, which co-occurs with the German Wirehaired Pointer and the German Stichelhaar.
