Playtime is a kind of “preventive” measure and goes hand in hand with training. However, playing with or paying attention to your pet does not always mean that your Great Dane will be doing a lot of exercises. This time should be devoted to cuddling or otherwise giving your pet attention without having to focus on studying.
If you schedule this time at the same time every day, it will be easier for you not to let this playtime fall behind due to lack of time. Make sure you have a range of things your pet enjoys doing.
For example, a friend of mine rubs oil on his Great Dane every other day to condition the skin. It's a time when the dog gets a lot of attention. You're not playing, but the dog loves the attention and enjoys the relaxing massage with the oil.
Pets notice when something is wrong and you suddenly behave differently. There are dogs that are more comfortable with a consistent daily routine. And it doesn't depend on the breed of dog. It's not that you can't change plans and times, but a daily routine is important for dogs. This is another way of calming down your mastiff and turning it into a well-balanced dog.
