16 факти што секој сопственик на златен ретривер треба да ги запомни

#7 Катаракта

Just like in humans, cataracts in dogs are characterized by cloudy patches on the lens of the eye that can grow larger over time. They can occur at any age and often do not affect vision at all, although in some cases they can lead to severe vision loss. Breeding dogs should be examined by a certified veterinary ophthalmologist before being used for breeding. Cataracts can usually be surgically removed with good results.

#8 Progressive Retinal Atrophobia (PRA)

PRA is a family of eye diseases involving the gradual deterioration of the retina. In the early stages of the disease, dogs become night blind. As the disease progresses, they also lose their ability to see during the day. Many dogs adapt very well to limited, or total, loss of their vision as long as their environment remains constant.

#9 Supravalvular Aortic Stenosis

This heart problem arises from a narrow connection between the left ventricle (outflow) and the aorta. It can lead to fainting and even sudden death. Your veterinarian can diagnose it and administer the appropriate treatment.
